Faculty Members: They shape the curriculum and ensure high-quality education standards. Their input defines the educational goals of the Civil Engineering programme.

Employers: Every year, employers visit the campus to interview graduating students through an active recruitment process managed by the Placement Cell. Most students secure job offers before graduation, highlighting them as “industry-ready”.

Alumni: The alumni are loyal members of the extended family of NMIMS. They maintain a strong connection with the institution and provide valuable feedback on the programme’s strengths and areas for improvement. They engage with faculty and programme coordinators and offer insights to enhance the program’s effectiveness.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

The Programme Educational Objectives (PEO) of the B Tech programme in Civil Engineering are:

Technical Growth: Graduates will excel in modern engineering and entrepreneurship, joining the local and global workforce and contributing to India’s economy.

Professional Skills: Graduates will continue to develop and show the skills needed to be competent employees, take on leadership roles, and achieve career success and satisfaction.

Student Outcomes (SOs)

Graduates of the B Tech in Civil Engineering programme will have an ability to:

Identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
Apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
Communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
Recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
Function effectively in a team, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
Develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
